Removing comments from WP

Sometime s we runs onto instances when we are required to disable comments throughout the whole site.  as any WP power user know, comments can be disabled as per page or post; however, once in a while we get requests from customer who are not interested in micromanaging such features.  For this unique cases, the solution is to disable comments by leveraging the functions.php file  and adding the snippet below.  [Original post]
